My portraits were done with oil on canvas, color pastels, ink and acrylic ground on paper. In order to paint some portraits I used my own image, and in others I used life models, masks and puppets. I like to paint portraits because they can reveal a person’s history and character and become a story telling experience with many creative turns and discoveries.
